Dear colleague,
Following the success of last year’s advanced course of resurfacing in Ghent which
was a Wright Medical sponsored meeting, I am pleased to inform you of the 2008
advanced course of resurfacing. As it worked so well last year, the meeting will
once again be based in the historical “Pand” of Ghent, Flanders in Belgium. This
event will be held from the 25th till 28th of June 2008. The course will be open to
all resurfacing companies and the success can only be increased!
The format will remain the same: the meeting aims to stimulate, educate, and
equip you with the most advanced and up-to-date information about resurfacing
arthroplasty. A prestigious faculty brings a combined experience exceeding 10,000
metal-on-metal hip resurfacing arthroplasty procedures!
The focus will again be on an interactive course with faculty and surgeons; lively
discussions, and question and answer sessions with participant voting are at the
forefront of the sessions. The surgical demonstrations and different workshops
should increase the knowledge of all attending resurfacing champions. Pertinent
basic science and evidence based elements will be presented together with the
practical experience of the faculty in clinical and technical issues.
